GPM - I plan on going to EFI but not right now. I don't want to buy an ignition control just to sell it when I go to EFI. I was hoping that I could just use the HOLLEY HP controller as the ignition control now and add the additional parts needed later for EFI.

I have the Holley HP controller and run the LS cnp ignition with only a crank sensor in waste fire mode. Works fantastic. You could get some Ls coils and run those with the carb until you go full EFI.

BTW Alex is great to deal with and will get you set up quick and easily.

Wasn't the original 427 ZL-1 1969 Copo rated at 500BHP? Here's an old school ZL-1 on the dyno, supposedly 534HP at 6300RPM. By todays standards nothing to get excited about, in 1969, that was a bad boy engine https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lDfM35SVRk0

yup, ALL aluminum 427, I had the privilege to see two of these in person at a Fred Gibbs car show in Ill. two of his original super stock 69 Camaro's. A total of 69 produced if memory serves correctly. Gibbs was a big Chevy dealer back in the day.
