Who can tell me here what the difference is with my "marine 502 block" and a standard 502 gen V block, the block number is 14096859 and they talk about thin main bulkheads...... I googled and found very little info, can this block be used in a street application? Is it a better block than a standard 502? I need some help

There is no difference in the actual engine block.

I read the bore size is 4.446 which is larger than the others but wasn't sure if there were other differences as well

the gen5 block has thin cylinder walls,the gen6 is a much stronger block.

Looks like there are only a few true BBC 502 blocks produced.... Most are modified 454
