Anyone have any ideas why brand new refreshed from Mercury Racing 1075 would lose oil pressure, alarm come on when coming down off plane when hot? Thanks

Collapsed oil filter. Cut it open and take a look. If your lucky that's all it is.

oil pressure could actually be low obviously, oil level is incorrect and is moving from the pump when coming off plain.
quality of oil, grade of oil I have seen cars at idle do that change the oil and it fine..
I have heard something about fram filter collapsing as well

whats the oil pressure when running?If you find nothing wrong w/ the filter it may be as simple as shimming up the oil pressure relief valve.

Oil pressure spring will only limit the pressure that would not cause it to be low at hot idle.

Is it actually losing oil pressure or just dropping below 25psi?
