It`s no big deal till you have a 80`s heavy v bottom with 4 1050 carbs on blown 540`s making 1800+ hp and going to lunch costs $120 in fuel before the first drink .

My 25' A.T. $100 would fill it up, that was nice.

Anytime the cost of fuel or running the boat comes up with the wife, I just remind her about what she spends on shoes, clothes and handbags and the conversation is over before it starts..

our cruiser cost $1500-$1800 to fill, never stopped us from going anywhere, and I just cancelled our cable last week, absolutely will not pay $200 per month to watch TV

160 gallon tank $4.50 a gallon on the river = Priceless 😎. I can burn 100 gallons a weekend easy and not really go to far. Boating ain't a cheap hobby. If your lucky a friend will bring a case of beer and feel they are contributing a lot😁

This. I don't ask how much she spent when a Victoria Secret box shows up at the front door, and she doesn't ask when something shows up for the boat, or when I hitch up to go to the station that has Rec 90. As long as the bills are paid, the lights are on, and the fridge has groceries, it'll stay that way!

A $190 cable bill??? Why? What on TV is worth that much?

Another reason why I couldn't move down south. I'd spend 5-6 times as much on gas and I'd probably work less. Loool.

But, I had 3 sleds (snowmobiles) to keep fuel'd up. That wasactually worse our big snow winter years back...happened same time fuel on the street was well in the $4 gallon. For those who don't know, sleds get bad gas mileage.....unless you have an Etec Ski Don't. LOL.

Isn't it funny back in the day -- when we had 9 planets we had a phone on the wall-- the phone company would have to have wires, wire poles, operators, service techs and not to mention publishing a phone book that could choke a horse-- and our bill -- about $25.00/month.

So today we have only 8 planets, cell phones that don't have the wires to each house, a few towers here and there and a phone book that you can put in your shirt pocket -- that's about it and our bill is $200.00/month

Go figure!!

100% agree. And I don't watch that much TV. But, to get the channels I want I have to have 637 bullchit channels. I am fuming every time I get off the phone with the cable company.
