Can anyone tell me the correct procedure for setting the base timing. 2001 model, 2bbl carb. Thanks

Does it have the Delco ESt distributor ?

for Volvo it goes by model number so you would have to post your model number just like Mercruiser year model does not mean a whole lot. Volvo used EST and BID back in that timeframe and again depending on model number. will determine which one you have. And of course if you know what exactly you have plus is it OEM stock ignition & engine set up will help to

I will get that info this evening when I get to the shop. Temporarily, I set it at 32 total, which gives me 10deg at idle.
