Hello all,
I wanted to say hello and see if someone could help me with some insight into a new boat. I've been boating for years but have never ventured into the offshore/performance arena. I've had multiple cruisers, ski and cuddy boats.
I'm look currently at a Baja 442 and would love any insight in the matter and if anyone is familiar with the boat please speak up.
I'm 13 hours away and cannot drive to see it unless it's to pick it up basically. I plan to have a survey done but outside of that is love to have everyone's input.
Below is the link. It's a 2000 baja 442.
Thanks in advance

Its still a 6 person boat . If you park close enough to the garage , you will be be able to step off the sundeck or bow directly onto the roof . Holeshot and speed will be about even with a baja 272 with a single 502.
Will cost about $600 to fill the tank at the marina. Firing up triples is a crowd pleaser. On board gen big plus ,will have cold ac up front on demand and you can run with the door open and fan on the stove and get a cool breeze from drivers seat. Engine acess is pretty good compared to a avg twin . Salt water is triple the issues in one boat.could hurt you at 15k here just in drive issues. At about 60k you may do wel.l less , is better

Rzide not sure if you bought the 442 or not but I just wanted to say I own one and I really enjoy it....Not much for all out speed but great for over all boating.....Ok speed, great comfort (larger cabin, a/c, smooth ride in ruff water) and most of all if it's priced right then....Like Nike....JUST DO IT........

I think that is a pretty nice boat. If that boat is clean & checks out I think its worth all of what he is asking. Heck I guy could part that out for way more then asking price. I have seen so many times on OSO where people are asking advice on boats that are listed, and people with boats nowhere near as nice will chime in and say its way to much or its junk.. Then I see what they own or not even own one and say to myself WTF?????? I wonder what they think there stuff is worth???
