Adding oxgen sensor to Gil riser

If I add AFR gauges, will the sensor live in a gil exhaust if the bung is placed in the riser as close as possible to the manifold, or will water kill it? I hear they are very sensitive, but gil tails are pretty long (wet not dry). I know a lot depends on the cam, but without exact specs, say for a 454 with cam in the 230-240 duration range 114 lobe separation.

You should be just fine. Just put it as close to the manifold as possible. I usually put them just above the nipple for the water hose. You don't have the short risers set up for silent choice do you? If so, you could get some water on the sensor, but you would also probably have reversion issues with that cam anyway.

They are the longer risers, no silent choice. Thanks for your input, sounds like it will be fine.

You could go this way also. Jeff can build them for Gil as well.
