What aluminum heads would be an upgrade from iron vortecs? Looking for more TQ and HP
Looking to buy a set of aluminum heads for my 350 Mag. Will be adding a cam also. What heads make the most power at a reasonable price?

Hard to beat the Vortecs by much when under 400hp.

Oh, cost vs power aluminum head and made in the usa, Profiler 180's and then probably Brodix IK180's.

You will have to change back to a non Vortec intake though, on both, so add that into the cost.

Stock (original to boat) Merc '91 260hp mag short block. Schitload of hours.
Brodix IK 180's
Weiand Air Strike
BG 650 vac secondary
Stock tbolt ign with MSD HVC canister coil.
Comp HR 218/224 / GMPP HR lifters
Scorpion 1.6 rockers
Eddie MArine exhaust
20ft boat . Gained 15mph all said and done. 53 and change to 68 and change.
Now over 70 with same motor...but that's another topic.

I've been reading on it some and it seems like most people end up going with 170-195 cc intake runners. What are the advantages/disadvantages of going bigger or smaller?
