I'm wondering how much gear oil to put in my 97 Hammer, it has the bravo outdrive. I know some of you guys know...I'm just wondering how much to buy and what type. Any info is helpful.

If memory serves me correctly, a little more than 32 oz (1 Quart) will fill the outdrive and then a few more for the resovoir. Remember to fill from the bottom....

Approx. 3 quarts for bravo 1 drives with resovoir. I like the Amsoil GL-4 80-90 gear oil, I have had good luck with it. The merc. High performance gear oil would be my second choice. It is very important to fill from the bottom. Hope this helps
