The coating is nice on qf, i would say you can tune both, they should be real close on cal's. I use to be a barrygrant dealer years ago and have had some other non holley carbs,Barrygrant then ended up being cheaper than you could retail a holley,.. If there close in price go aftermarket,if holley is a good bit cheaper go for it.

The last carb we did ,we even put in a idle transfer slot jets, so I could tune idle on street blower set up,On my Chevelle runing around town and up to 50mph and is still running off the transfer slots,But its 2 1050's on a 355ci motor

I ran 2 holleys on my Scarab around 7 years, stock 1999 Holley coating held up pretty good.

Rob

also you could buy the non marine and make or install your own j tubes

I did because I wanted to use the Gen 3 1150 2-circuit as it isn't offered in the marine version. I bought the J tubes separately to semi make it like the marine version. According to Holley tech, the idle circuits are the same.

Okay, cool. My brain works.

The carb you listed/linked earlier is nothing like yours...not just cfm as you mentioned.

I'm not being a jerk....I'm just making sure the OP knows.

The Ultra's are a hell of a carb...in all versions.

It had been a while, but aren't the idle circuits were the same?
