Default RPMs at WOT

Recently took boat/engines up to WOT. 4.5 adults, 90 gal fuel. I have both analog and SmartCraft. Recently made a slight cable adjustment on port side so at idle RPM, throttles were together (had 2.5 turns of slack on the throttle cable). After said adjustment, I confirmed cable had full travel and throttle body fully opened at WOT. At WOT, port analog gauge at 5200, stbd at 5000. On SmartCraft, RPM's very close to dead even at 5000. WOT range on my 525efi's is 4800 - 5200. I run Maximus 5 blade props.

The more I think about this, I think had I not taken up that 2.5 turns of slack in port cable, that stick would have it throttle body stop sooner, thus lower RPM's at top end. Without touching it, likely could have been even at WOT, but remained off at low end (without cruising with sticks uneven to achieve even RPM).

My question, which do I go by, analog or SmartCraft? Also, any other thoughts on the 200 rpm difference (which I am seeing basically from mid range all the way to WOT).

Thanks

i would think the smartcraft is more accurate than the analog.if you do have a 200 rpm difference from port to star i think one engine might have an issue.

or, a prop issue? I suppose a prop could be tweaked to pick up 200rpm. Again, the rpms are fairly close up till around mid range. I can get the rpms equal with the sticks, but still, analog and SmartCraft seem to be 200 rpm off.....

Smartcraft is most likely correct and the analog tachs are slightly off. Swap the tachs to verify.

Is there a belt on both. My SCARAB came with two power steering pumps but only one was hooked up and had a V belt installed.
