Default Boat Lift Question

I rented a lift to keep my boat on this winter. I made arrangements with a lift company to fit the boat and they informed me they would need to make custom bunks to fit the single step hull of the boat. Will traditional bunks damaged the step hull of the boat?

I don't think so, it just wont be supported correctly, good friend of mine does boat transport, and if he's moving a stepper he just ads blocks to the step on top of the bunks for transport.

You absolutely want the bunks cut to fit the boat for long term storage. No two ways about it.

Thanks all - Fountain sent me the drawings for the hull so the lift peeps can build the proper bunks.
