Anybody running Gen 1 verado's?

Service bulletins and updates along with parts updates can be found thru the dealers - give them the engine serial numbers and they can run it . They can tell you what warranty work has been done and if anything is outstanding still needing to be looked at that was issued by Mercury whenever.
The FSM had and still can have its problems. Bolts for the power head seemed to break easily ( salt apps ). The very first Gen had weak lower units that would not last and very soon - the beefier lower units was added into the mix by Merc.
Also what HP Verado some had different related issues and some not. I am no expert on the Verado and never even worked on one but know some master techs coastal areas that work on them all the time. They see Verado's everyday for service or whatever issue that has happened.
