Looks like I started a monster ....

Also used this and the rustolium for years. Hold up extremely well. Just mix in the recommended amount with your paint and let sit for a half hour before use. Dries hard as a rock in a hour.

Whatever Glassdave recommends is what I would use.

Tile-clad from Sherwin wiliams. It's a two part epoxy that is tough as nails and sticks to anything. Definitely more expensive than rustoleum though.

You shouldn't be using paint as a sealer. That's what the fiberglass resin is supposed to do. Epoxy paint will chip, crack, and flake over time. If you think that it's going to seal water, I would think again.

x100 on the rust oleum that's what we used.

150bucks for 2 gallons sherwin Williams epoxy. Probably take less than half that for your bilge and it covers so well I am sure you only need one coat.

The fumes from doing a bilge in Imron without a pressurized fresh air resprorator is a deadly mix.

Ignore this post...Gel coat is a big NO NO over epoxy. I used Sherwin Williams Macro Poxy to coat my Profile bilge, that stuff is thick, sticks to anything, and tough as hell.
