218/ 222 ish .050 cam maybe a bit more but wondering with that exh and reversion, lift not a lot of improvement going over .500 lift in fact might loose more low end than gain in peak power. Exh is also going to limit out put based on flow #s.

murfman, There is a MoPar guru not far from you in the Chicago area. Ron @ Hemi Design/Hemi Performance. He has been doing MoPar and Harley head/intake for many years.

I've been to his shop before its in Cicero IIRC He is a good guy, really took off with the Harley stuff, and that is what he mostly does now. I have a close friend that has been doing Mopar Cylinder heads for 30 plus years, Mike Radnis at Rad Racing.

With the Mopar .904 dia lifter, the quicker ramps of the roller cam, and the 1.6 ratio rocker arms,its almost difficult to keep the cam down to .500 lift.

Your intake selection is not going to flow anywhere near the potential of the heads. The intake bolted on the head will only allow around 170 CFM give or take good port bad port. With a 400 CU IN engine around 235 CFM is needed to reach peak HP at 5200 RPM. Intake like a torker II is around 190, well ported maybe 220.

The Mopar manifolds are a different animal than the Chevy manifolds. The Edelbrock Performer RPM intake is pretty much equal to the Torker 2 above 5000 RPM but makes more power from 2500-5000.

In this test the Torker II actually was a used manifold with some port wok done and still lost to the Performer RPM

The restriction of the exhaust is why I am running a split grind cam.

Years ago began testing intakes flow myself 15 or so years ago and have ported heads and intakes for like 5 decades. Difference between tests in article and how I do testing is with the manifold attached to a head. This gives a better idea of what is happening. As an example I have tested intakes for small blocks that flow 250 CFM free flow ,as in the article, then bolted to a head that would flow 250 or more CFM only flow 170 through the intake give or take good port or bad port. Most small block Performer RPM intakes average flow is under 170 CFM average.

Also not sure if he is sucking or pushing air through the intake as he has it mounted which could make a difference in readings.

Also discovered depending on heads ports some dual planes flow on average better on lower runners some better on upper runners it depends on port entry angles
