Has anyone put stud girdles under these style valve covers? I am going to add valve spring oilers which will raise the valve covers about .625. Just wondering about clearance issues.

i think you mean the top of the stud.the flexing will actualy happen from the bottom of the poly lock to just above the mounting hex.the higher the lift&spring pressure the more stud deflection.

What style did you have the issues with? I plan on using the same oilers that Dan used, so I think it will work. I don't want to change covers, cause I welded fittings on these for AN fittings to run to my barf tanks and have a ton of hours into these three sets.

They were some low profile units, lower than those finned ones you have. It was that the poly locks were touching . Non girdle setup.
I can get some measurements for you from those tall valve covers tomorrow, like posted here. And on dans oilers . |
