For what I paid for my N/A 540, I'd say 19,500 for an 800SC is pretty good. Oh, and wouldn't it be nice to open a door to your spare bedroom and see that sitting in there?!?!?

if you can buy randys motors for 12k then i would go buy them and you would have less into it and you would have enough parts to make one good motor at minimum

I'm pretty sure the cheap prices on Randy's motors are with an exchange.

I bought a rebuilt motor that sat for several years after the rebuild in a non heated garage in ontario canada (drastic seasonal temp changes) there was no rust in the exhaust ports at all, none in the intake either, just one comparison for you

That exhaust valve could be rusted to the head. Gonna wipe the cam lobes as soon it's turned over.

Thanks for all the replies. The comments make me weary of the condition. Did anyone notice the dyno was in May 2012 and the rebuild receipt is from July 2012. The motor is beautiful on the outside but the internals sound questionable. I will be in this motor 14k actual cash. Although I should be able to sell the two cars I am trading for 17k or more. I have 2 motors currently at the machine shop that are taking forever and was hoping this was a fast and easy alternative.

Like I said earlier, I am only in these two vehicles for 14k but I know I can sell them for more than that. I just hate dealing with all the tire kickers and this will be an easy way to be in a motor.
