Friends 42 fountain. 454/425s. 250s on top. 800 hours on original bottom ends. Heads have been done a couple times.

1200 hours on my original still sealed stock 500 efi! Ran mostly cruise speed...

I call that reliable!

I believe my engines would be more reliable if I wasn't on the sticks...

I know I am not comparing apples to a lot of the real hi-performance stuff out there. But I have a pair of stock 1997 502 mpi mags that will hit a 1000 hours this summer. They have had nothing but normal maintenance. They came with the 38’ Powerquest I bought in 2006 with 230 hours. 700 plus hours later I have noticed no more oil usage and no deterioration in performance.

Pretty impressive, my 99 Scarab has 175 hour 500 efi's in it, they burn oil like typicak 502's with the metric low tension oil rings, first thing I did last summer when I bought boat is re-program them to rev to 5650 so I'm not exepecting them to live forever like yours but they do run good!
