I have been 72 with mirage 25 but rpm was way too high. I have a set of mirage plus 27 Im gonna throw on this weekend and see how she does. Prop shafts are 7 1/4 inches below but 4 blades seem to do ok and my k planes are flush mounted so Im sure I am scrubbing som speed. Seen 5500 with mirage 25 non plus at 72 and it was still pulling. Speeds this weekend was with full tanks 9 adults a kid and all the other crap that they brought along

Do I still need to run inconel with dry to the tip gil exhaust? I have them now but when I order the afr heads would be nice to know

Btw. Look at this article. Same setup same heads. Same cam. Mine is stroked This one is 454. They made 424 hp on stock 454 vortec with cam intake and carb only. http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/eng...mple-cam-swap/

you could get away w/ upgraded stainless exhaust valve.

I'd spend extra bucks on Inconel. They handle the heat better.
