That's some really good info there. We are prolly going to pull them this winter and do all the performance mods to them.....Id love to do turbos or S/C, but I'm also afraid id spend more time blowing them apart then enjoying them.

We don't have a speed limit on the lakes I boat at, at least that I'm aware of, but I do like to hold her wide open for 15-20 runs (not sure how that compares to other lakes, but its a long way on ours lol)

That's 20 or 30 miles up here. But some patrol guy or airplane would come by with my luck.

For me that was probably 5 miles, wide open I could only get 43 mph :( but we're working out the kinks

So another question, if I went with the XM270HR cam with a 210cc aluminum head, could I keep both of those components if I ever wanted to add a S/C? I know that changes from the N/A original question, but if those will both work I can always upgrade to SC later.

S/C suggestions? What about rocker suggestions?

Why a 210cc head ? What are you building now ?

The 210 was suggested by a "pseudo" engine builder here in town. Right now Ive got them bored 30 over and am fixing to start purchasing the bolt on stuff, figured you guys know better than me

Unless you're spinning the motor to 7-8k a 210 is overkill. A 190cc runner will likely suffice. You could even get away with a 180 or less but not necessarily an ideal combo.

When you go forced induction you need to drop the compression. So you might have to get a thicker head gasket, but then that loses your quench and invites detonation.
So to really go sc a good way, you might need heads with bigger chambers or pistons with dishes.
Nothing is ever quick or easy.

What size chambers is a good starting point?
