Thumbs up

Sorry Dennis,
didn't mean to sound critical; just wanted to make sure I understood which I think I do now. Your knowledge is very appreciated.
I like the idea of a simple curve. The less variables the better. I will be able tell real time when I'm hooked up and will pass on the results.
Later,
Dave

I run 35deg. in mine. This is a Iron headed 9:1CR motor. I hope that I'm not running this too close to detonation. The motor seems to like 35 and when trying different octanes of gas it seemed to run better on 89 octane.
Also I have the dist. locked down , don't really have any problems starting

I run 32 on my NA 632. Turned it up to 34 on the dyno and there was no increase in power. The distributor is "locked in"..always 32 degrees. Starts and idles fine with never any signs of detonation @10.5:1 CR on 93 Octane.

I have MSD crank triggers---and with a crank trigger; once you lock it in------it NEVER moves!

KAAMA, I agree with you, bigger cubes, porting. I was just asking if you tried going higher on the timming on the dyno. I think your right on with running 32 ALL summer long ,instead of 36or 38 for 1 month and melting a pistion.

Jdncal WOW 10.5 to 1 comp on 93, thats really pushing it and no sign of trouble. must be some cam what are the spec's.
I have 9.2 and run 93 and still worry.I never buy gas on the water, I fill gas jugs at the station on the street and carry it to the boat,to many stories about marine gas station's.
