Shift Cable End On Kiekafer Control Box
 

How do you disconnect the shift cable end from the shift lever, without removing and dissasembling the control box? These are red Morse cables and dual zero effort throttle/shift controls.
It looks pretty tight up in there.

You have to remove a rod that runs the length of the control
box. The only way to do this is to remove it from the console
or dashboard. Once you remove the rod then the hook on the
other end of the cable will slip off it's pin.
