Default 22 scarab help

hey guys I need some help with selecting a prop. I have a 1995 scarab 22 with an alpha 1 I know the drive is weak. my current set up is making just over 500 hp NA. I need to figure out what prop would be the best option for me. anyone with experience with this hull would be awesome. some people are saying mirage some are saying hydromotive. any help would be awesome.

I used to have a 1996 22 scarab w/ a 502 MPI in it. The best prop for my boat was a labbed 25P Mirage Plus. I tried lots of propellers.

thats a pretty light boat with 500hp i would say around a 27 or more. That alpha is not going to like 500 hp.

Fortunately alphas are cheap and easy to find. A heavier boat and it wouldn't be doable. On the plus side, until it blows the alpha is faster than the bravo cuz of the smaller bullett diameter.

I tried a 28 Bravo 1 four blade and could not push it to the proper RPM. Still ran pretty good. Ran a 26 Bravo 1 and hit the rev limiter. The boat handled so much better with a Bravo 1 in rough water. It was a white knuckle ride and I loved every minute of it. Definatey a drivers boat. I learned a lot driving that boat on the edge. Speed wise the 25 Mirage Plus was the fastest on calm water.

Mostly ran about 72.6 GPS. Best of 74.1 GPS.
