Thanks for all the help BUP I will follow your advice to the T. One question for you, if the gas tank still has fuel in it and I pull off the hose at the cool fuel module to hook up my aux tank, what kind of leakage am I looking at coming out of the hose? What should I use to plug it?

I USE an Old CLEAN spark plug to plug the taken off fuel line. WORKS like a charm for plugging any fuel lines and preventing fuel leaking. You do not even have to hose clamp the spark plug it seals that good been doing that for 30 years working on boats .
If you are quick and pull straight out and up with the fuel line and then stab the (clean) spark plug in the fuel line you will not spill a drop of fuel out of the line. Some might come out your engine side but if quick connect the remote tank fuel line - the fuel leak is very min to min depending.
Also spark plugs can plug off oil lines and water lines or whatever of the correct size. Just a tip on top of.
Words off advice - Do not use anything threaded like bolts or screws into the fuel lines or oil lines to plug off as the threads cut into the fuel lines internally and then that debris can enter into the fuel system or oil system ( whatever you are trying to plug). .
Do not forget to rehook your boat side fuel line after done.
