Boat all back together now. Ran her yesterday, everything was perfect. No ticking and a smooth idle. I think this saga has come to a close. Thanks for all the suggestions and responses.

$735 various places.

I thought some people have used the $30 each GM Performance Parts GM# 17120060 lifters that came in the ZZ572/620 engine with large Crane Cams HR ?

BTW: I never looked to see if there is a Part# (and cheaper) for a package of 16 X # 17120060 lifters.

I was just looking at those too. The ZZ572/620 engine has a .632" lift cam and if the GMPP catalog is correct the springs are almost 200lbs seat pressure ???? I think that is what I am going to recommend to my customer I mentioned in the other thread I started this morning.
