So I made a rookie mistake this weekend. I'm new to the big boat world. Had my boat alarm buzzer go off. Look in the engine hatch and noticed the reservoir with maybe 10% of the oil left. It wasn't on the bottom yet. When I opened the cap it was pressurized. I just filled it and went for a ride with a girl (true reason I was in a rush). Checked it after and it went down slightly but hardly anything. I then looked up online where to get more gear lube cheap and I saw a pump etc. Looked into why is there a pump and then it hit me your suppose to pump it up and in. Is there anyway I can check if the new oil is circulating or is there a air pocket and it's just sitting up in the reservoir. Thanks guys. I got lots to learn but I love this new hobby !!!!

If there a little left, then I doubt there were any air pockets. If there were any air pockets, the lube level would went down with some use.
Keep an eye on the level. If it continues to drop consistently, you have a leak somewhere.
