Default Painting or protecting Mercruiser Gil risers

Risers in great condition but salt has got underneath paint on the inside and it is cracking. Whats best to protect the risers which are in good condition bar internal paint, external paint is fine,

Is there a paint for the job or a powder coating I can apply locally that will work.

thanks

Can you touch up a powder coating or is there a better bonding paint made these days?
