I liked the last one you sent me but only available in 12an fittings. I need 10an (at least I'm pretty sure because it is on 5/8 hose) so I just ordered the Mocal brand. Hopefully this solves some problems. Thanks again guys

Buddy of mine is running a Mocal thermostatic sandwich adapter on his HP500 and it works well for him.

The sand which adapter is the one that goes between the filter and filter housing correct? I don't even have a remote oil filter housing. I bought it this way. I didn't wanna get into that because I not sure I can get in there to install that. I'm happy to hear he was happy with mocal. That's the one I bought

I ran a mocal on my supra and it did well.

The mercury stats start to open at 180ish, and are fully open by about 210.

at 3500 you are not going to see much more than 140 oil temp even with a 200 deg tstat if you are running a crossover instead of a circulating pump.the cooler engine is cooling the oil and you are not running it hard enough at that rpm to really heat the oil.

One item to consider when looking at oil T-stats........What would be the flow rate that is needed? Some advertise it, and some don't. One I saw was 20 GPM. Is that sufficient? If flow rate is too low I could see it causing starvation and/or high oil temps from the restriction.

Gimme fuel, I didn't think of that. I just assumed that if the fittings were the correct size that it would push enough oil through. The one I bought doesn't say either
