Not sure if this is the correct forum for this but does anyone have any feedback on the Mercury 600SCI package? What does a typical top end rebuild cost per side and at what hour mark? Any inherent problems with these? I see some boats for sale with twins but they don't seem to move as fast as a 525 or 700 boat. I know they will require 93 octane which is a pain. Appreciate any feedback/experience.

No experience with them, but I'm sure the 525 or 700 were way more popular packages. I would think they wouldn't be a whole lot different than the 700 as far as refresh/rebuild costs etc. Someone with a little more Mecury knowledge hopefully can give you more info.

Mine are 07 600SCI and run on 87, its stamped on the heat exchanger. The weak link are the drives. For a little over $2k a Stage 1 Whipple computer upgrade will get you to 700hp.
