Default A little more Tinkering

My drive is mounted QUITE high. At top speed I am loosing water pressure. SO I welded up the original water intake at the nose of the IMCO -3 shortie. Then I cut a new slot about 3 inches back ( that is as far as I could cut it.
Hopefully this solves the problem or else I may have to install a scoop. I don't want to install a through hull pick up If I don't have to.

Why make more holes in the hull for water to leak in if I can get this to work. Plus the through hull pick up will cause more drag. Believe me I will get this to work. The boat is going 112 MPH and I feel it will hit upper teens once I get the prop right and trim right. This boat has less than 4% slip.

That's smoking bro. How's it feel in the teens? Lose any hats or sunglasses yet.

If you did end up having to go through the hull you'll prolly want to go no more than 6" from the transom. Lol. Sounds and looks like your on the right track though. Good work.

Wife lost a hat at 95
112 was real smooth.
I need to try out the labbed Bravo 30. I lost the seawater pump last Sunday and had to pull the boat out.
I have to learn all over how to drive this boat. How much trim at what speed.
Learning all about speed and cornering.

I can only imagine. Not exactly a boat you'd wanna put a newbie behind the helm of. Even with years of experience you still gotta take one day at a time. Pushing the limits is what it's all about however doing it with respect of the boat and the water is obviously key. And of course others in the boat being #1.

Regardless sounds like a riot a whole new exciting experience.

Have you tried a 5 blade yet? I broke a Bravo 4 blade a couple weeks ago and my mechanic put a pair of 5 blades on it for testing. No numbers to share but really changed how the cat handled. I noticed anothe 30' that was for sale running 130 mph was also running 5 blade Maximus

Your Daytona is a twin engine = heavy stern. The 26 Daytona has a center of gravity that is too far forward. With a Maximus 5 blade prop I get way too much transom lift. It literally rides on the prop and the front sponsons. I was at full throttle with the stock Maxomus and when I let off the throttle it felt as if I had slammed on the brakes. I was running on the bow. I am going to have the Maximus 28 labbed to lessen the transom lift and use it when I have a heavy load.
