So what's the consensus? Daytona boxes to prevent 6m failures and pertronix or Mallory distributors?

I just changed a bad pickup in one of my billet MSD dizzys. Reluctor had formed so much rust that it had actually tore up the magnet. I'm really thinking of finding merc Tbolt stuff to go back to for simplicity or DUI. Thoughts?

they need to stop shipping these by the ocean from China too much saltwater spray hitting them on the way over to the USA.

for the next order on the menu - can you put in a little more distributor and less rust --. I like mine a little more over easy jeez

I'm using a Mallory magnetic trigger distributor to trigger the sequence and distribute the spark. I removed the
advance harware and locked the distributor.
I'm also using the Daytona sensors CD-1 marine ignition. The timing curve is programmed into the box. It comes with the matching coil.

Dyno time only so far. I expect it to work as good in the boat as it did during testing.

I used the GM EST (Merc Voyager) dist, bypassed module and hooked mag pick up to the Crane (now Daytona) boxes.

I'll have some crane boxes soon. Only 40 hrs on them . Replacing obviously with the daytonas. Next week. Excellent condition. If anyone needs a pair or alternate to the msd chit.

I have been running H/P HEI's, large cap, remove vac advance, sometimes run locked, with petronix digital rev limiter with great success
