The SM have a reversion damn in the tails, others like EMI and Gill don't.

No..

I had EMI change the water outlet to their "water damn" style and extend the inner pipes some to further prevent reversion..

They necked the extension pipe down some then added a flare help throw the water against the exhaust hose and to prevent it from running back up the pipe...
