Hawaiian jet boat
Ok, always looking around for interesting boat projects, have a friend of a friend who has a Hawaiian moonraker jet that he bought new, has all the original paper work, sales brochure etc. He just parked it years ago and has not touched it in years, has been covered, any I have messed with, owned many jet boats, but none like this, powered by a 360 AMC and panther pump...weird factory deal...never seen or heard of one. I know they used a lot of Olds, BB chevys, 460 fords but anybody seen one of these ? Its a open bow hull with covered engine..any info ? thanks Rob

About a year ago I was searching for a jet boat and came across 2 of them with the AMC engine. I personally wasn't interested in them, but they were quite unique. I built a 500hp 401 AMC engine years ago for a jeep. You can make some power with them if you want to spend the coin. I have a set of mounts, bellhousing, etc for a BBC jet boat if you need them

I had a red and white one with a jacuzzi and a 454. Walk through style open bow.about the same size as a taylor lp.real heavy hull , and those panther pumps use a heavy stainless impeller. Wont be a hot rod by todays standards , but if it has a good gelcoat - color theme , could be a cool retro cruiser.
It will flop like a wet noodle across the water if the floor and stringers are not sound.
