Quick question as I'm wrapping up a 502HO top end re-construct...Been try to uncobble several messes by the PO. I will now have a fairly stock 502HO with EMI Thunder Exhaust & Corsa Captain's call...The PO had an Edelbrock 1410 750CFM Marine Carb & Edelbrock 7562 non-marine RPM air gap manifold which is designed for 1500-6500 RPM. I'm RE-propping down to <5k RPM. Trying to be cost effective here, am I better off keeping the 1410 Carb & dumping the Air Gap RPM manifold? Or vice versa? Or let me have it. Seems to me the RPM is a mis-match for the rest, no?

If your propping to 5k I'd leave it alone. Single plane from my experience at that rpm and cubes is almost pointless. Not pointless but just won't see take advantage of it. Should be nice and crispy throttle response. I'd say at most up the carb to a 800/9022 but wouldn't hesitate to run it as is.
