Im running Mercury, nice thing is, you dont need to figure out where or how to mount them

You're running Mercury oil temp gauges? I assume they make a kit that plugs and plays with the oil filter head? I haven't seen one.

Mine are at the filter head, measured after cooler, I am putting them in my pans also and going to have a switch to monitor both places..

Did you drill and tap like above (prefer not to) or find another means of mounting the sensor? Thanks

Many pans have 2 half inch drain plugs. You can utilize one of those ports which I've done otherwise you can drill and tap drain plug for sensor. You can get them all the way down to 1/8" pipe.

Here is another oil stat I never new of but honestly I think the perma cool ones have a better finish and a lot cheaper. Only advantage to these is their built with male AN so no need for adapters. I really like the earls that OP posted. Then again I just sold two perma cools for 55.00 shipped that work perfectly fine just don't have the bling.

That's cool, and it has a port for a temp guage.

I was looking at several different ones like those earlier. I think that is the ultimate especially if your starting fresh. With well laid out placement you could probably shorten up some oil hoses.
