I have a fuel pressure question.
The diesel engine for the islands solar system has a cummins 6 cyl turbo diesel. There is a fuel line that goes from the side of each injector from one to the next down the line connecting all 6 injectors. It runs down the side of the engine then curves around the rear of the engine and connects to the fuel filter mounting assm on the other side..
The line has a crack right next to the bango fitting. Is this the fuel return line?
If so what kind of fuel pressure does the return line have?
Id like to cut it at the crack and install a short piece of fuel line and a pair if good hose clamps. There is no welder here and the flexable fuel line i think would handle the vibration better. Do you think a piece of good fuel line and clamps would hold the pressure??
At least i can keep it running til we find a replacement .
Thx for any info. Rm

Would you happen to know the model of the motor?
There is pressure but how much I'm unsure, would need to look it up. Since your looking for a temporary fix, what about taking some fuel line, split and then place over area and use clamps on it?
