Duel Side by side gas tanks-fill?
SubscribeJust purchased 33 Active Thunder with dual gas tanks. Was wondering how do you keep them equal? Does one engine draw from one and the other engine draw from the other? It does have two fills on the outside. Coming off 30 Baja with one tank.
Any information welcomed.

Not an AT but my 35 fountain with 2 tanks has 1 engine runnng off each. I'm going to add a crossover controlled with a valve just in case it's ever needed.

I would think that each engine on its own tank should stay pretty close. A crossover from tank to tank at the bottom would keep them level but I think that would be very unsafe ! I have two tanks two fills and one engine a real pain in the ass.Originally Posted by Lake Bound

I have the same thing in my Biesemeyer. Both lines go to shut offs and then Y into a filter and then a single line to a fuel pump... I also have a gas gauge with a switch under it that lets me flip from tank to tank. Sometimes they draw even sometime not. How about yours?Originally Posted by fbc25el

Each engine has its own tank.
I have zero experience with the issue, but have read quite often of one motor consuming more fuel than the other for no good reason at all.

I have the same set up with the two shut off valves and a y into one line. They may or may not draw evenly it just depends what day it is. I do have return lines going back to the tanks where I can pull fuel from one tank and fill the other.Originally Posted by f_inscreenname
