What heads are on it ? The surging is most likely carb and base timing settings. If stock heads, thats good power with a low lift flat tappet and 6psi

Hah! I even remember it at a young age and thought it sound way cool in the 70's. Now even though I'm closing in on 50 yrs I wanna a FULL RACE cam. You fken ah right.... I still like sucken gas and haulin azz. I doubt that will ever change. So let me know if you come up with one! I'm game. Lol.

Thanks for the help Mild... the carbs are actually 850's and heads are 345 iron eagles base timing is 32*

Locked timing, throttle blades closed to much, and mixture screws out too far
