I had an exhaust clamp (v groove style) break on me like that on 575sci e-tops. To my knowledge, it was a factory Merc piece - lasted 15 years before it just snapped one day.

Rob, any thoughts on RG Ray or Clampco out of wadsworth?

RG Ray is what I bought off of Amazon. And I think those were the original clamps on my drive indicators too.

RG Ray and Clampco comes from the factory on large heavy equipment of the Yellow variety. We have good luck with them.

Good info, thinks guys.

Since I never had a worm clamp fail out right (fresh water), might just stick with them. Don't know will give it some thought

No, stock 6.7 Cummins, think its around 20 sum psi under heavy load. I was pulling the boat up a long a steep hill when it gave out.

Oh, and those clamps are nice

You must have a Wednesday motor and turbo, and Friday/4:15PM clamps. :D

During my current resto' I've found and been told by suppliers of both that Awab clamps are more robust and have stronger clamping load.
