I put everything back together and fired it up and its leaking worse then before. It seems to be coming between the rubber gasket and the adapter plate.

I tore the exhaust, battery, and trim pump out for access. I could see it running down with motor not running. Tightened everything up more and got it about 75% better but it still seems to be seeping through. I snugged the adapter down pretty good and it was leaking like a sieve while running. Tightened it even more and it slowed the leak. Im afraid to tighten anymore.

Any ideas?

You might have rust where the gasket sits.

i think i figured it out.

Kinda embarressed but i surely cant be the only guy to double seal something. I got it all tore apart and the fitting came off with 2 seals. The old one must have been on the plate and i didnt catch it. Ill put it back together and fire it back up tomorrow.

Ok im seriously about to pull my hair it. Its still phucking leaking, bad. Its coming between the fitting/adapter plate. I pulled the entire thing off. On the adapter plate there is a oring that looks like it goes in a recessed area of the plate. I tried running it with just that o ring and it leaks. I tried running it with the oring in the recessed area and the new seal (which is bigger) and it leaks. What the hell am i doing wrong? This is so frustrating im about to lose it.
