Morels here , 1 turn , I`ve ran straight 50, no noise.
I suspect user error.

Thanks for sharing

Morel .903

5w50 driven racing has worked best in our engines. Tried every brand and weight, mostly trying to run 40wts per previous advice from Morel, Bob M, Chris Straub, zero difference with every brand and weight untill 5w50 Driven, engines maintain higher and more consistent oil pressure during extended high RPM runs.

Excellent customer service from Lake Speed Jr. At driven racing, Scott Foxwell, and Chris Straub while testing different oils and filters on my setup.

Yeah because who wants to keep an eye on things and see before it breaks. Haven't your engines been out pretty much every season anyway?

ok ok don`t get your panties in a bunch, run solids.

This year I`m replacing shallow oil pans and going with more oil capacity. Sorry about that I didn`t know anyone was keeping track. I`ll try not to make any improvements for you next year ok? cool

for some boats solid lifters are a good thing because one can get the valve covers off without removing the exhaust system, imo it is not worth taking my headers off once or twice a year to check lash, that is why i am running hyd roller cams.do i think a solid roller will out perform a hyd roller cam,for sure but you sometimes have to give up a little performance,if it was a race boat, solids for sure but for a pleasure boat, well i find no pleasure in r&r my exhaust system.for those who don,t mind the extra maintenance with solids, have at it.
