Right now it surges from about 750 to almost 1500

It does sound cool, like it has some poorly tuned big nasty mills in it with the surge. But its not cool when youre trying to dock the boat, and you start slamming your trans into reverse at 1400rpm. Or worse, if you have bravos with the cone clutch

let it surge its easier shifting!!!!

I would assume it stalls when shifting at a lower rpm, can get hairy in the docks with some current or wind. That's why I'm super happy with my EFI whipple package.

That's amazing the difference the timing map made.
