1-1/4 Fuel Fill. PLEASE HELP

I need a flush fuel fill that has an 1-1/4 diameter neck. For some reason they used 1-1/4 fuel line instead of 1-1/2 on the tank. I do not want to remove the tank or use a bunch of fittings to get from an 1-1/2 fuel fill to the 1-1/4

I want either a single fitting that will slip over the 1-1/2 fuel fill and into the 1-1/4 line or just an 1-1/4 fuel fill.

Buy a new filler neck.

I found 1-1/4 hose. No neck of any sort. So, get a piece of 1-1/2 hose and see how well it fits over the existing 1.25 hose. If close, get a 1.25 filler hose coupler from filler neck supply and put inside old hose. Then coat outside of old hose with permatex #2 sealer and clamp new 1.5 hose on to 1.25 hose. With a gasoline proof sealer and a stainless tube inside, it will clamp well enough to seal. You can pick the spot along your existing hose where you have access to easily work and inspect the joint. Kind of surprising they sell the hose but no fillers. Even if you re-run new 1.5 hose all the way to the tank, you are still going to need to adapt it at the tank fitting.

This just may work. Thanks.

we have a way to do this but really want to use it as a last resort. The crazy part is this is a new custom tank put in in 2008 epoxy coated and all with the 1-1/4 fitting welded in....no idea why they would do that.

It says pipe vs hose...maybe screw a short section of 1 1/4" pipe into it and slide hose over it ? Dunno...You'd have to look into it.

That's all I could find.

ok, you have the old deck fill? if not, measure the inside of the 1.25 hose. now go to home depot and measure outside of 1 inch pipe, or compare it to deck fill you have. pipe size is the inside dia that pipe used to be for that outside dia. 1/4 inch pipe is about half inch diameter and is bigger than 1/4 inside dia these days. archaic measurement methods, but redesigning everything would screw up a bunch of plumbers lives. 11/4 pipe will probably fit 1-1/2 hose real good...

I am pretty much at that point. I may just have someone weld a different neck/pipe on it. Not sure why I didn't think of it.
