Differences between 8,2 Base and HO

Was looking into the 8.2 Base and HO differences and used BAM's part number look up. The only differences I could find was the PCM. They use the same, cam, crank, heads valves, injectors, fuel pump and regulator. Can anyone verify this?

There is also a restriction in airflow thru throttle body.

Both the Base and HO use TB 8M0045241 and intake is the same 8M0045239

My comment comes from it appears to have a slightly rich running Base model and a leaner model HO that runs a tad leaner. Might also be a tad more timing involved but then again its in the PCM

Air adaptor spacer and PCM tune.

My thought is no one needs Whipple or anyone else, all you need to do is install the HO PCM and you have more HP. Just trying to find info that proves or disproves the issue?

I noticed the restrictor plate yesterday, but could not find it on the parts list break down. After looking again this morning, found the flame arrestor adapter (8M0045765 and 8M0045766). There are two different ones which I'm going to assume this is the restrictor plate as mentioned in the other thread. So anyone could change their Base to an HO model by changing out the PCM and the plate. Only issue to still need figuring out is which is the part number for the HO? I'm guessing its the higher cost one
