Arneson Handling Characteristics in Rough Water

I have a new (used) boat that has arneson drives but I have never owned a boat with arnesons. 38 foot Ocean Express- 100mph boat + Because this boat has arneson drives someone I talked to said it will run different in rough conditions but I am not sure why they say that. These arnesons dont have the same risk to over"zing" when you go flying in the waves right because of the more direct drive design?

Could anyone with experience give me some pretty words to explain the best way to fly a arneson catamaran??

Most of us here like to buy bravos by the dozen. I wish I had Arnesons, lol.

This is what I would do:

1. Find out for yourself.

2. The End

He bought the boat so he intends to. But I think he wants a Lil up front info about little things like throwing blades on his new props, stuff like that...ps. I like the previous avatar...note guys: he is in Cancun. If anybody wants to go give him some driving lessons.

Maybe. It would a idea to do a course on the Tres Martin performance boat school have heared a lot good things about it and that it's expensive but worth every penny and you can get killed easy at 100 mph if you don't know what to do !

I think my life and my friends is worth a lot more then the money the course cost

just my thoughts :)

Arneson

The Arnesons will handle differently in all types of water. In my boat, not a cat, I found out the boat reacted differently when adjusting the drives and tabs.

In rough cond. you will need to keep the drives in more. The trans takes more of a beating also trimmed out. I would think every boat would drive a little diff.
