Trying to locate the correct oil temp sending unit part number for my boat. Since the motors are new I'm replacing the harnesses and all senders. 1995 fountain with gaffrig gauges from that era. I know different gauges use different ohms. Just don't wanna grab the wrong ones. Anyone know? Lol thanks.

I am in the process of putting all new sending units on my motors going in a 1990 cigarette. gauges are all Gaffrig and I ordered the senders right from gaffrig. I used the wire in the merc harness for electric trim gauge since I have mechanical trim gauges this wire was not used. I believe its brown and white wire. go to Hardin marine on line and check out there Big Block Merc wire harness and go to installation instructions. they have a good wire diagram for engine side and harness side of your plug. print them off, makes life easy when making new harnesses.

The north American standard for senders is 33 to 240 ohms (33 = low, cold or empty and 240 = high, hot, or full)
IMO, old senders usually don't give up the ghost very often
Edit: Sorry, suffering from old times, reversed it
