This combo is in a 382 formula with Kaama drives, fuel pumps/regulators/gauges are all aeromotive....we twisted a drive shaft coupling Sunday and then new replacement was overnighted yesterday.....hopefully can test with more results this afternoon.

Was mentioned stock exhaust...original post did not state, if stock 502 manifolds, thats asking a lot, maybe I'm not getting it, but still dont get what the actual issue is(other than flooding) laying down ? surging. no power ? if you suspect power valve issue, try plugging them and see what it does...really need a wideband to see where you are...without one you are pissing in the wind

Running much less cam than a 454/525sc. Not good.... Also I read a post where you had dry tips so I'm assuming gil manifolds? Not cast with dry risers. I see some upcoming winter projects in order. Until then take it easy.

There are several winter projects on the drawing board right now for this particular boat. Upgraded heads, cam and exhaust are on the ticket, but right now its a question of getting the engines to run right.
Took the boat out yesterday and did some more testing, came to the conclusion that the timing on that engine has to be way off. Backstory, we set timing on both engines on a run stand at 12 i believe. installed motors and had problems with the starboard engine not being able to handle the trans load when put in gear and dying. Advanced the timing a little on that engine in the boat on the water (no clue what its base timing is now). Port engine is without a doubt flooding out at 3000, so for giggles I had a buddy accelerate while I advanced timing on that engine, got it to 3300, wouldn't spin any faster before starting to flood out. I would've advanced the timing progressively more but had clearance issues with the lift eye and ignition box. I think we are on the right track of it being ignition, my plan is to remove clearance issues and take it back out this afternoon and see what exactly increasing the timing will do for it.....thoughts?

Are You Running the Hardin Marine P-1000 exhaust that Kaama utilized on most of their set ups back in the day?

UPDATE: Took boat out last night, backed up to ramp and went to start port motor.....starter hung and completely demolished the flywheel teeth....ugh, going to pull the motor this afternoon and put a new ring on it and reinstall, looking like wednesday afternoon before I can test
