Default Solving rear main seal oil leaks BBC MKIV

Got to reading article on Hot rod engine tech regarding UK company called GST RACING SEALS which is making one piece rear seal for BBC and
is designed to be cut and twisted around the crankshaft for installation. While this seems extreme, it is in fact a brilliant solution
here are the links
Hot Rod Engine Tech One-Piece Rear Main Seals for Big Block Chevys - Hot Rod Engine Tech
GST Racing Seals The Motor Racing Divison of Gregseal Technology Ltd.

I'm thinking about trying a couple of the seals out,
Received quote for the rear seal: US$65+postage.
Thought I would share the article

So it is a lip type seal you cut and spread over the crank. But then the rear main holds it back in its orig shape. Hell, a 2 piece seal has 2 cuts in it... I can see this working.

I had one leak. Rope type. I sat there with a hammer and seated it real good in the main cap. Old 389 engine back when GTO's could be had for 200 bucks. Seal peed like the proverbial race horse. But man I wish I didn't leave that 65 convert on the Memphis Navy base for junk...

I was basically talking about how if you do something badly enough you can screw up anything. And then I digressed a little.
