My experience with the green Mercury stuff is it gets real thin and comes out like water.

I just read the specs sheet and see it exceeds the API GL5 and the military grade MIL-PRF 2105E(now is SAE J2360), How has this been working out for you? They're local and I can get it comparable to mercury sae 90, if not at a better price.

I've used the merc Hi performance "green stuff" since I purchased my Bravo outdrive in 1992. I'm not any nicer to my outdrive than any of you and it has never come out thin or watery. 27 years later that outdrive is still going strong, having never been serviced.

I only use the Merc stuff to break in my drive. I run NEO oil from All American Drive Service. George gives me a 2 year warranty on my drive after a rebuild running NEO. It's not cheap ($85/gallon) but I can run it for more than one season. I check the oil color and magnets twice a season and top off. After 2 seasons the oil is still like new.
