I was at O'Reilly's in Cedar Park. Same thing at the store in Leander. The store managers didn't know abt the new regulation until they actually tried to make the order.

I agree the net offers waay more selection at a cheaper price. However it's a double edged sword. Once the local auto parts stores go tits-up, there goes my ability to repair my vehicles the same day they break.
That's the only reason I purchase my oil from them.

Similar story........I needed to ship some stud girdles back to Webster Industries, Bill the owner said use my account and gave me the number, I stop by a UPS store and tell the person I needed to ship these to Cali and here's the account #.........she said we're not part of UPS, ( really ) so I say what's that big UPS sign doing on the front of your building then, she said we're not tied to the main UPS ( WTF ) and cant use an account # for processing a shipment, ( Brilliant ) ......... so 38 bucks CASH later they were on the way.

Crazy huh ? One of my 1000issues with NAPA last 10-15yrs,is when one of their POS branded parts (many are now POS unfortunately) breaks or can't even install, you get the, "I'm not NAPA. what do you want me to do ?" My answers is to usually drink a bottle of water and put a balloon over there head and die.

One parts counter guy, been there about 20 years, I won't deal with because he has a huge chance of sending me wrong parts, believed - untile I figured it out and corrected him) that FWD is not Four Wheel Drive ! I noticed this after walking behind him and counter to grab my own parts. 20 yrs !!!!

I'll stop.....100's of issues over the years. 99% of time I have to do he ordering online to the store...if I have to use them...which of course I try not to.

Edit in: FYI. NAPA rebrands Dorman parts amongst others.
